I Had To Say Something

In the online catalog of latest titles for Anno Domini -- if you click on the link and scroll down, you'll find my picture book, "The Gift," illustrated by Tommaso d'Incalci. They're selling it this season at the Frankfurt Book Fair!

Congratulations Laurie.
Looks like a fabulous book. All the best with it.

love your blog. thanks for stopping by mine.

I grew up in Uganda and Kenya--and later in Sierra Leone ... so interested to hear you grew up in Burundi... Africakid kind of gave me a clue though!

Beth,
Thanks! You were a big help earlier when you showed the pictures to a Burundian family for feedback.

Sally,
Thanks for visiting and commenting. I didn't realize you grew up in Africa also--a great thing to have in common!

Judy,
I haven't said much till now--the book still needs to be sold to publishers at Frankfurt Book Fair. But I was excited to see the AD catalog listing!

Betsy,
Yes! The book still needs to be sold to publishers at Frankfurt book fair (Anno Domini is a packager and they sell to publishers worldwide). But just seeing illustrations makes it more real.

Angela,
Definitely, go by AD's booth and check out the books--I'll see you at least one day of the fair!

Thanks, Steve. Congrats to you on "Sophie and the Pancake Plot" coming out! I need to find it -- the first two Sophie books were so good.

I had no idea you were so close to seeing this finished. I'm so happy for you!! I will keep my fingers crossed for many sales at Frankfurt. In the mean time, do you get a sample copy, they must have a couple lying around. Or is it all done electronically? Are you going to Frankfurt to see it?
