The Illustrator's Wall

Here's a peek at the Illustrator's Cafe in the Bologna Bookfair, where illustrators posted their samples, cards, and other interesting stuff. I enjoyed browsing the wall each day--as you can see, all types of styles!

Hi Laurie!
It's a Wall so interesting, thanks for share.
If you see at my wall quilt with some spanish words, it means "Thank you for being you" (Holly said me this it's the traduction).
I made it for someone very special to me, and i think it's a goo phrase to every one.

I always wondered how authors found illustrators. I sometimes read books and find myself thinking "I would use this person" or "who chose this artist?". The wall is pretty.

I suspect publishers recommendations have more to do with choosing an illustrator that I would like to think, but I definitely saw some work on the wall that I love.
